Michael Jackson Dead at 50
Rest In Peace, King of PopWhen I read about his death in one of the many Twitter feeds from people I'm following on Twitter I couldn't believe it at first. I was at work and, well, it was a busy day and even though the radio was on in two different radio stations (at the front end we're listening to a country music station and at the back end they were listening to an easy listening radio station) I didn't have the time to listen to every tidbit the DJs announces on the air.
Anyway, when I read one of the people I'm following on Twitter I was like WTF? Then I read a different person's feed and it was the same. So I got on the comp and went to CNN and there it was, on their Breaking News that MJ was in a coma after suffering from cardiac arrest. Now I was really confused because I am receiving conflicting news; one from the feeds saying MJ already passed away then online it said there he was in a coma so technically he was still alive. Then a few minutes later I heard Man in the Mirror playing on the radio station we were listening to at the front end. Mind you, it was a country music radio station so for them to play a Michael Jackson song meant that he already passed away.
It was only then that I truly believed he was gone.
I wasn't a big MJ fan, but I enjoyed his music. And throughout his career he has made quite a difference in music. He was an inspiration to a lot of people. He introduced quite a lot of nice signature dance moves that everyone copied, and believe me, if you can do the moonwalk everyone would be impressed!
Anyway, albeit all the stuff that has happened to him in recent years, still, he was well known for so many things -- even if he turned a bit weird and quite out there, still, he made good music and he made hits. He has become the butt of almost every damn joke out there, but regardless of that he was well-known and to some, he was their idol.
Also one of the original Charlie's Angels also passed away the same day MJ did; Farrah Fawcett also passed away after a long battle with cancer, but unlike Jacko's death, not everybody was making a big fuss about it. I guess because everyone knew she wasn't well and that she was just biding her time until her battle was over.
The world lost two prominent icons from different spectrum of the entertainment industry. May they both rest in peace and to their families and loved ones left behind I send out my condolences for their loss.

Yeah, I didn't hear about either of them until yesterday evening on my way to rehearsal... FREAKY!
I was shocked when my Aunt called me~! When she told me that he died, I was thinking 'OMG! He's dead! He can't die!' At first it seemed like she was playing a joke on me, then I found it on Wikipedia and I couldn't believe it! All I can say is Rest in Peace~!
it is really sad.
